BRANDING/VISUAL IDENTITY

From the direction of my level three Graphic Design course, my class was assigned to create individual brand images for the community art gallery Walls Turned Sideways. This studio is an expansion of The Prison + Neighborhood Arts/Education Project (PNAP), “a visual arts and education project that connects teaching artists and scholars to incarcerated students at Stateville Maximum Security Prison through classes, workshops, a policy think tank, and guest lectures” (p-nap.org).  After meeting the creators of the new art center, Pablo Mendoza and Sarah Ross, and doing my own research into the organization I developed my version of a new logo. I based my design on the gallery space that would showcase the impactful artwork. The setting of where the community would gather and share their vulnerabilities.
