As part of my Experimental Typography class, I was as asked to write six word stories inspired by the people close to me. Taking the title “People of Influence”, the initial poster designs focused on the relationship between the two type families Gimlet Micro and Serenity, highlighting the similarities and differences in fonts. I was focused on how distinct shapes worked to compliment each other, reflective of how my loved ones have influenced my own personality and life. The color palette chosen was meant to induce a sense of nostalgia and comfort. From the poster I then implemented motion into the designs using After Effects, this element further communicates the connection between objects.
